We’ve introduced even more fun into our shoe boxes, with our free Start-rite App (only operational on Android and IOS/Apple devices) where you can access our new Augmented Reality (AR) games.

What is Augmented Reality?

Augmented Reality is a technology that superimposes a computer-generated image on a user’s view of the real world. So in this case, it enables us to turn our game leaflets and shoe boxes (Hat-Trick and Princess Serena) into interactive and highly addictive games.

Once you’ve downloaded the Start-rite App you simply point your mobile devise at your chosen box lid and play either the ‘Start-rite Penalty Shootout’ – where you try and score as many goals as possible against the goalkeeper, or ‘Princess Serena Charm Quest’ – where the task is to collect as many falling charms as possible.

If you have a game leaflet point your device at either the ‘Cat Swipe’ game where you can design your own cat and try to catch the pesky mice, or bring your own spider to life in ‘Arach Attack’ and catch those flies in your web. There’s also a chance to win a 3D printed model of your Spider or Cat design in our exciting App competition. A winner will be drawn on the 1^st of each month. Competition closes 30/09/2015.
